Your west-country based training course offers some of the most beautiful moorings and anchorages along the coast. Upon leaving Plymouth Sound you may choose to head to Cornwall: Falmouth offers marina facilities in the heart of the town, giving you and your crew the opportunity to explore the local pubs while you discuss your plans for the next day. Mylor, which is quieter and a little further up the river, also offers marina facilities which are modern and well-maintained. At Mylor you will find a yacht club, bar and restaurant. If, as part of your Day Skipper training you choose to plot a course to the picturesque Cornish town of Fowey, you will find a warm welcome with plenty of places to enjoy a pleasant evening ashore.
