Sailing out of Plymouth using our new 41′ yacht, our mileage builders are passages of 60 nautical miles (measured along the rhumb line) or more on each leg. Mileage building is designed to give you an immersive sailing and sea management experience. You will be required to function below decks preparing food and drink whilst we are on the move, as well as take longer spells at the helm and on deck. We can also include navigational exercises.
To join us, you will have had some experience of sailing at sea, but qualifications are not required. There will also be the possibility of some night sailing.
Our passages are run when the weather and conditions are more challenging – April to mid June and from September. However, this does not mean we will go out in any weather!
Typical passages include: (Plymouth -> Alderney), (Plymouth -> Falmouth -> Fowey), (Plymouth -> Roscoff)
We undertake these passages using our modern Jeanneau 409 (41′) sailing yacht, giving fast passage times and comfortable sailing. See the video on the right.
